Christmas Ornament Storage Containers

Christmas ornaments are large part of celebrating decorations that are displayed during the holiday season. Using Christmas ornament storage containers for the safe keeping of those fine jewels, when not in use, is also a very important part of the holiday tradition.

Each year new additions to the ornament collection grow larger and larger. Why, because fresh new ones are received as gifts or bought for the changing times and also because they bring joy to an already joyous occasion.

Saving Christmas ornaments from year to year is nothing new to this holiday season and a lot of the times all the great collections of decorations can be found in an old shoe or gift box from past years gone by.

These traditional ways of storage used to be the best way to protect and stack all of those figure and figurines, but there were always some disadvantages when not using more heavy duty plastic stackable containers.

If water damage occurs for instance or pesky mice get into the cardboard boxes to make a home then these precious time capsules could stand the chance of getting ruined.

Whats nice is having organized ornament boxes which has many more advantages than the old cardboard box method.

Here are some good examples why to use better containers:

  • Keeps them safe, clean and in water resistant bins
  • Organize them by year, size or theme (Disney, Old School, Antique, etc)
  • Provide each member of the family with a separate container one that last for years
  • Less boxes for easy storage, stackable inserts
  • Stack without crushing and causing damage

Keepsake Ornament Storage Chest

I like these chests for the expensive bulbs and more priceless keepsake ornaments.

These storage boxes are obviously more elegant and they also provide a sturdy storage area that lasts more like decades and can be handed down from generation to generation.

These treasure chests are a perfect way to store the most valuable Christmas ornaments being rest assured they will stay safe from damage during the rest of the season.

This year deciding to take some extra time to save those ornaments in sturdy boxes will make next years tree trimming and house decorating just that much easier.

Having all those ornaments in organized cases will not only make a good impression but it will set a good example of how to care for ornaments that can mean so much to ones during the holiday season.

This is very useful-all those Christmas decorations need to be safely stored for next year.I used to store mine in a cardboard box but found it damaged most decorations.Best to use a plastic storage box or at least one that cant be squashed.

I agree 'kids-toy-box and what better way to save them from damage than to keep them in safe proof containers. Often we get so caught up in the holiday rush that we end up storing them in just any old box only to find them damaged when we return next year.
